Our Pastor is Steve Cauley, a native of Texas, but
is now proud to call himself an “Iowan”.
Pastor Steve is a life-long Lutheran but remains a Lutheran
by choice telling others..."If you can show me a better way
to live than to walk in the footsteps of Jesus, please tell me so I
can be your next convert..." He loves his vocation as a
parish pastor! Steve is a graduate of Texas Lutheran University
(1998) and The Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (2006). He has
served as our pastor since 2010 and has been an advocate for
outreach and personal growth in faith at Zion Lutheran and the
previous congregation he served in Houston, Texas. Steve is married to Karen Landahl. Steve and
Karen’s greatest blessing is their two-year old daughter, Analise.
Steve enjoys camping, staying current in church leadership,
seeing the latest movie with his wife, staying in touch with family
and old friends, and helping others discover God’s blessing by
being actively involved in a community of faith. Pastor Steve is available for conversation and
prayer, encouragement and guidance and can be reached via the
